Sustainably Chic Reusable Bags... Look good and do good- All at the same time

Hello and Welcome to Blades Construction Company!

I design one-of-a kind, hand decorated string tote bags, allowing women to express their individual sense of style and protect our environment all at the same time.

I use vintage pieces, buttons and patches, handmade artisan buttons, and trims from all over the world.
They make wonderful and sand-free beach bags AND they hold 40 pounds, the same as a regular plastic shopping bag.
The bags are just like the market bags used in Europe, perfect for storing in your purse or car or back pocket- ready to use at anytime.
The advantage to using my bags is that they allow you to: reduce waste, help save the environment, AND look effortlessly chic.

Uses for the bags:
-Picnics (who doesn't want to walk around with some fresh fruit and a baguette sticking out of their bag?)
-Traveling (great for helping your organize in a suitcase or duffel bag)
-Shopping
-Gym Bag
-Laundry bag, allow your dirty clothes to breathe
-and did I mention the ultimate beach bag- the sand falls right through!

Please take a look and feel free to ask me any questions that you may have about the bags.

Music Festival Chic

Just back from an AMAZING time in Manchester Tennessee for the annual Bonnaroo Music Festival. Here are a couple of pictures from the festival and a link to the green initiatives that they have implemented to reduce their own impact.

Check out what Oprah Winfrey has to say about "Going Green"

Oprah thinks reusable bags are cool... hopefully she will motivate others to re-use bags or bring their own.

Speaking of being COOL....

Congratulations San Francisco!

San Francisco is the first U.S. city to ban plastic bags.

Read about the new legislation-

I can't wait for summer!

Oh Summertime..... waking up to birds chirping, going for long walks at night, sunsets, flip flops, ice cream, farmers markets, sand between your toes, picnics, fresh corn, thunderstorms, lightning bugs........
